Who can use mobile deposit

  • You have successfully registered for FCFCU’s Home Banking
  • You have successfully downloaded our mobile app
  • You are a member in good standing

Mobile Deposits For New Accounts
Within the first 30 days of account opening, funds from mobile deposits will be available on the ninth business day after the day of deposit. Please see the Funds Availability disclosure in your new account packet for details.

Helpful Tips:

  • Using black ink will provide for a more clear image of your endorsement and can help expedite processing of your deposit.
  • Incomplete endorsements, or extraneous information in the endorsement area will prevent the acceptance of your deposit.

Imaging your check(s) for mobile deposit

  1. Select “Deposit” in the mobile app and then “Deposit Check” to remotely deposit a check.(Deposits into Share Certificates and IRA’s are not eligible.)
  2. Place your check on a flat surface when you take the image with your cell phone camera.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter the deposit amount and to photograph the front and back of the check.

Helpful Tips:

  • When photographing your check, place the check on a surface that provides good contrast.
  • If necessary, place a white sheet of paper behind the check while imaging.

Remote deposit dollar amount limit

  1. The maximum daily deposit limit is $10,000.00
  2. There is no limit on the number of daily deposits, as long as it does not exceed $10,000.00 per day.

Helpful Tips:

  • Deposits received before 1:30 p.m. CST on a business day will post to your account on the same day. Deposits received after 1:30 p.m. will be processed on the next business day.
  • Some exceptions may apply during holidays and /or special and emergency closings.
  • Save your printed, endorsed check in a safe place for no less than 60 days after transmission to FCFCU. After 60 days, we recommend that you destroy the original check.

Verification of your mobile deposit

You can view the status of all items in the Check Deposit History of the mobile app.

  1. Select “Check Deposit History” and search by “all”, “accepted”, “pending” or “failed”.
  2. Check status category: “accepted”, means the check has been approved for processing.
  3. We will not accept: Third Party Checks, Non-US checks, Altered Checks, Postdated Checks, Money Orders, Traveler’s Checks, Stale-dated Checks or any other check we determine to be unacceptable.
  4. Deposit history up to 30 days.
  5. It is recommended you keep the Remote deposited check for 60 days from date of deposit. It is the member’s responsibility to securely destroy the deposited check.

⚠️ Fraud Alert ⚠️ Fake Check Scam: If you have received a cashier’s check that appears to be drawn on First Castle Federal Credit Union, do not deposit the check. Do not send any money that may be indicated in the instructions with the check. The cashier’s check may be a counterfeit cashier’s check. Save any form of evidence associated with the check (i.e. package label, letters, text messages).
