First Castle FCU is very active in the communites we serve. Throughout the year we volunteer in several community events. Some of the events that we are involved in are the Relay For Life, Monster Mash, Wooden Boat Festival, Covington Food Bank, American Heart Association and much more. Relay For Life is an all-night community event where teams of families, friends, co-workers, school, or church groups can walk to raise money for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient programs. We participate to honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to those lost to cancer and to help raise money to help fight cancer right here in our community!

Monster Mash is an annual one day event to raise money for The Parenting Center in Covington, La. The St. Tammany Parish Hospital Parenting Center promotes confidence and competence in parents, encourages optimal child development and enhances the wellbeing of the family as a whole.

The Wooden Boat Festival is an annual event that supports the Maritime Museum and all of its educational exhibits. 

The Covington Food Bank helps to feed qualified multi-member households. The families receive approximately 70 items of food twice a month.

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is: “Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.” All of us at FCFCU support the work the AHA is doing to better educate people on the risks of heart disease and how to minmize them.
